"FACES" is an artfully designed side table that transcends mere functionality, engaging with the surrounding space through a captivating play of light. Its unique form and finish allow it to appear as if it's gently floating from certain perspectives, creating an illusion of lightness and ethereality. When illuminated, "FACES" transforms into a radiant beacon, reflecting and refracting ambient light to produce a dazzling array of luminous effects. This dynamic interaction with light enables "FACES" to vividly express the subtle yet profound changes in illumination from the bright, vibrant atmosphere of the day to the soft, intimate glow of the night.
By ingeniously repurposing standardized industrial architectural components, "FACES" redefines the conventional understanding of these materials. It elevates them from their utilitarian origins to objects of aesthetic beauty and functional elegance. This transformation highlights the intrinsic value of design that seamlessly merges visual appeal with practical utility, demonstrating how everyday elements can be reimagined to create pieces that are both striking and useful. "FACES" is not just a side table; it is a testament to the power of design to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, enhancing any interior with its presence.
The materials used are commonly found in construction: hollow polycarbonate sheets, aluminum channels, and aluminum parts. The tabletop features a lightweight aluminum sheet with a specialized honeycomb structure. It can be fully disassembled and shipped as a flat pack.
FACESは空間の中で光と戯れるように佇むサイドテーブルです。ある角度からは軽やかに浮遊するように見え、光を捉えた時にそれは、周囲のあかりを閉じ込めたかのように輝きます。昼夜の変化の中でその存在は、様々な表情を見せてくれます。
